December
1, 2004 I was looking at some jewerly that I have from years ago. I never did
without were my thoughts. I always had more than I needed. Clothes, jewerly, etc.
I think we forget to be grateful for the things we do have. Like I said the other
day, "We can eat three times a day, and some people in the world are lucky
to get one substantial meal a day."
December 2, 2004 Take the
time this minute to be grateful for the things we have. Bless your surroundings
with gratefulness. Bow your head in prayer, your own prayer.
December 3,
2004 All of my life, the question has been to life, what is our purpose and
why are we alive and conscious. What is the power of consciousness? Are we personally
powerful. Do we have the power to really create our reality just the way we want
it? I am living and questioning all of the time. I want to find purpose not in
doing but in creating the world that I want to see.
December 4, 2004 I
was riding on the C train the other morning and the conductor was talking to the
people over the loud speaker. She was talking at a very high voice, amost as if
she was a drill sergeant: She was literally hollering at us. Spiritually, I was
assaulted. I was very uncomfortable. Why is there so much anger and hostility
in our society? Even the fire trucks are an assult with their high sirens wailing
at us. I have found that if I just push all thought from my mind, I can find peace
in all of this rage.
December 5, 2004 The mind needs goals. It has
to have things to move towards. My goal at this time is to pay off my credit cards.
This takes constant focus on the NOW. Live each day, one at a time. Feel your
life. Feel the freedom of the NOW moment. There is no pain and sorrow in the NOW
moment. It just is, free and alive.
December 6, 2004 Do you know that
sometimes your thoughts aren't really your thoughts at all. We also have thoughts
in the air of the race consciousness. In orderwords, our karmic race inheritance.
We incur the thoughts of our ancestors. So, we aren't just conending with our
thoughts of the immediate moment, but at times picking up thoughts of the ancestry.
That is why we have to guard our minds as though they are precious to us. Allow
no thoughts to come in that are not valid in the NOW....
December 7,2004 We
have the power to control our NOW moment. The only power you really have is
over yourself. You are not responsible for another's experience but are responsible
for your own. Be happy, be positive for what you have at this MOMENT. If you are
fortunate to have love in your life, embrace it and be thankful for it. Some people
never have love in their entire life. If you are financially independent, be thankful
for that. Be thankful for all of your foresight in whatever business you are in,
in having the ability to track the trends of the moment that will and can effect
your business in the future. There is so much to be done in every MOMENT of your
life. So much to be attended to NOW. There is no time to waste this precious time
and energy to pain rememberances of the past. They are and were what they were.
We cannot go back and change the past, but we can live better in the PRESENT MOMENT.
Think of love and the whole world will be your lover.
December 8, 2004
I
think it is important to live the simple life. Each day it is also important to
be thankful. There are so many throughout the world who do not get a meal for
days sometimes, have no warm bed to sleep in or even have a roof over their heads.
You have a roof over your head. You have a job and are able to earn money. Some
have a positive support system and family who love them. Some have no one who
loves them. They are very lonely and afraid each day of their life. They harbour
negative thoughts constantly and they have no way out of their dilemma. When you
are feeling down and out, access what you have that is positive and that will
get you out of yourself. Be thankful for the NOW and don't be afraid of what you
think will happen tomorrow. Tomorrow will take care of itself if you are taking
care of yourself today.
December 9, 2004 Embrace your life. Open your
heart to love. You are very loveable. I care for you as though you were me. Be
at peace because you are peace at the deepest level of your existence.
December
10, 2004 How can I help others be free? By being free of my own story and the
thoughts of the past and future.
December 11, 2004 This is your life.
Do what you need to do to stay strong. Live one day at a time. Dwell on positive
things in your life. Look at all the positive aspects of your experience. Life
responds to your core beliefs.
December 12, 2004 I have a big family:
2 sisters and 3 brothers, one of whom has passed away. I miss them so much. I
just want to spend time with them and enjoy their individuality. You know, peace
starts in the family and then it is carried over to the larger world. I believe
that I am at peace with my brothers and sisters, whom I love so very much. When
I see them, I feel proud and full of love.
December 13, 2004 When you
want for another what you want for yourself, then peace is inevitable. True love,
a feeling deep down inside brings about peace from within yourself. To wake up
each day feeling healthy and positive is to me a wonderful gift from life. It
is called it grace. Finding something you were not searching for. Grace is a miracle.
And at this time, I am thankful for my life and my experiences on my journey to
know and love myself. Experiences make life grow. You become aware of yourself
and how you are thinking. When this happens you can start to bring about change
within oneself. We need to have, mind training. Bringing the mind under your control.
Rerouting unwanted thoughts. If each day is new then why have worn out thoughts
that don't add to progress but only hinders experience. Each new experience is
NEW. Brand new. Like each new day, NEW. To have a wonderful peace come over you
where everything is NEW as though there was not yesterday at all to hinder the
newness of each day.
December 14, 2004 We each have the capacity to
bring peace and harmony into our lives, as well as into the lives of others. We
set the tone of our experiences with other people. Be at war with yourself. Then
that is what you bring into the world, your internal war. People will be there
to play to your tune, but by frustrating yourself, you frustrate everybody else.
We must become like little children to really see our lives. When we are like
little children, then the world is new. You don't have to take a drug to experience
what I am talking about.
December 15, 2004 Some days I wake up and
I am very lonely. At times, when I go to sleep, I look at my life and start to
cry. There has been so much pain and sorrow. I have been so strong in my life.
There are days I want to lay down and go to sleep and never get up again. I want
to awake from my dream and see that all of my life was spent in dreaming. The
Course in Miracles states: "All of our lives are spent in dreaming. Our sleeping
and waking dreams have different forms and that is all."
December
16, 2004 We are alone. That is the most sacred knowledge in the world. We are
attached to one another, but detached from one another. This is the only life
I know. I must live it in a positive state of mind. To be positive is so healthy
and good for you. Negativity is so unhealthy: It ages the body and destroys the
creative force, which is the mind.
December 17, 2004 We become connected
by our emotional pain. We can share our stories of abuse and neglect and find
that a lot of us were not happy with our formative years. The adults hindered
positive expression in order to have control over us and their situation. Parents
think that they teach the child when ultimately, the child teaches them.
December
18, 2004 Today I feel lonely and alone. I feel as though I have a broken heart.
Fear seems to come over me and I know that I am not thinking fear, but I feel
it in my atmosphere around me as though it is outside of me. Do I take this fear
for real? I ask myself. The self says," Anything outside the self is not
real." Fear is an emotion that must be eliminated from my state of awareness.
FDR once aptly said: "The only thing to fear is fear itself!"
December
19, 2004 I will not let other people's opinions of me determine my self-worth.
December
20, 2004 I will not let another's negative state of life affect my state of
awareness. All life is positive! Man is evolving into the self. Self-determination.
He has the power to create his own world just the way he wants it. To be ruler
over all and ruler of none.
December 21, 2004 The other day I was on
the A train in the morning, and this young fairly attractive, well-dressed women,
around 25-30, was asking for money. She told me that she and her husband were
homeless and they sleep in a shelter, but have to get up and leave the shelter
when morning comes. This caused me to feel upset inside. She was so young to be
in need of shelter. I wish I could have given her the $20 I had in my pocket at
the time but felt that I needed my $20. That I have to work 2 hours to earn this
wage. My decision not to give her the only money I had on me bothered me for part
of the day. The questions that arose bothered me: Should I have given her my $20?
Was I giving her the $20 out of my own fear and guilt of being homeless myself?
I will never know the answers, but I will tell you one thing, If I had a couple
of dollars in my pocket, I would have given her at least a dollar or two just
because I feel other person's pain. The least I could be is caring and positive
for them.
December 22, 2004 If I were homeless, I would rather be in
a warm climate. New York is too cold of a city to be homeless in. There are just
too many people on this one island -- and too many homeless. Our shelter system
is full to the brink with homelessness. Some families are homeless, which means
the children are homeless in shelters. What strength it must take to be homeless,
to live on the streets. These are my thoughts for today.
December
23, 2004 Tis' the season for family and good food. This is the time I really
miss my family. When we were small and my grandmother was alive, we would have
a large table of good food during Thanksgiving. There would be a house full of
people. Some were playing cards, some would be playing Monopoly, the game. Some
would be talking and laughing. There was just a house full of positivity. I miss
my grandmother so much. When she passed away, all of the holiday ge-togethers
stopped. That was a very sad day for me.
December 24, 2004 And so this
is christmas. Time for rebirth and renewal. Time to shed our old habits and implement
new progressive habits. Life is growth that's all there is growth. We are progressing
to the "I AM" realization. As Jesus in the Christian faith once said:
"If you see me, you see the father." For I and the father are one."
December
25, 2004 God has no opposites. We are at one with everybody else. Fields of
opposites come when we think we are separate from everybody else, including life
itself. We are only separate in ego. Ego will tell all the reasons why you are
not one, you are not part of the life process. What you believe will come true
of you. All is One...
December 26, 2004 God has no opposites. We are
at one with everybody else. Fields of opposites come when we think we are separate
from everybody else, including life itself. We are only separate in ego. Ego will
tell all the reasons why you are not one, you are not part of the life process.
What you believe will come true of you. All is One...
December 27,
2004 Do you know there are people in life who live as though life is a positive
experience and have many positive experiences. But there are others who find life
daunting, hard and not a positive experience. They have many negative experiences.
We become how we were raised. How we were raised determines the outcome of our
experiences. There are many levels of positive experiences, just like there are
many levels of negative experiences. Can any of us really think 100% positively?
That is my question. 100% positive would create a beautiful world where people
really cared about one one another, where we all learn to share what we have not
in fear, but in joy. Giving is a joyful experience for me. I love to give to help
other people. If I can give, I give. Even if it is only $1.00, at least I was
not be indifferent to the plight of my brother. We are our brother's keeper. I
believethat if our brother is doing well, we will do well, too. As I have said
before, we are one, though blind to the naked eye. It is a spiritual phenomenon.
It is natural to give.
December 28, 2004 In my mind I think prosperity
and positive happenings now, and in the future. I am the one through my thinking
who wil determine my life's outcome. My future will be determined on how I am
thinking about living. What thoughts I will allow to occupy my state of mind.
If negative thoughts come up, I have to stop them at the mind's door. I will only
allow positive to occupy my mind. All is good and all is right in the ray of creation. December
29, 2004 How you are thinking every minute of your life determines the outcome.
Our thinking becomes our reality. A friend of mine fears dying. He doesn't have
anything else to think about so his mind starts to dwell on dying. We will all
die someday. By giving this thought power, dying becomes fearful and destroys
the moment when you are alive and well.
December 30, 2004 We are learning
of our personal power to create a world that we may not want. It is up to us to
change this world into a more positive, productive world where the human being
matters. What is our self-worth?
December 31, 2004 I started the show
because I did not like the way I was being treated by agents when I would take
my pictures around. They wouldn't even open the door for an introduction. Then
Al, who is a friend of mine said: "If you have a message, go on public access."
And that is what I did. Then I realized I was a different person when I moved
here. I felt free. In my freedom, I wanted to share what I learned with others,
how our whole life is lived in shadows and fear. We fear the past and worry about
the future, which is not here. Then we think up things to worry about because
we are not comfortable in our silence. The truth is, we are that silence. That
is what spirituality is, living in the silence and acting in the present moment
with no preconception of the NOW. There is only space, there is only consciousness
